What to say.......? I have so many memories of Lance over many years, as a patient, captain, and friend. As a captain, he was always jolly, incredibly knowledgeable, asking after me and my family, safe and conservative when piloting his boat and, when he became ill, patient and accepting of the tests and treatments he endured. He remains part of a "picture" of the Rideau, Chaffey\'s and the St. Lawrence which I have in my mind and treasure in some way everyday. He was a friend and mentor to many people, often teaching me with a story of one of his experiences. He will be missed.
